DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION :

The Department of Education was started in the college since its inception but students opt this subject to better understand their behaviour and modify it accordingly as it is the sole purpose of every type of education be it medical education, engineering education, social science education etc. The students learn a lot about the contemporary issues in education, mental health and hygiene, adjustment, personality, intelligence etc. These courses are taught at undergraduate level and the department is planning to start a skill course in early childhood care and teacher education in future. The first six years of life are critical years of human life since the rate of development in these years is more rapid than at any other stage of development. Global brain research also lay emphasis on the significance of early years for brain development. Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) makes a positive contribution to children’s long term development and learning by facilitating an enabling and stimulating environment in these foundation stages of lifelong learning. This subject is offered as one of the optional subjects in Humanities at undergraduate level.
