Department of Physics in collaboration with Department of Mathematics and & IQAC of SKC, GDC, Poonch celebrated “National Mathematics Day” to commemorate the birthday anniversary of one of the greatest Indian mathematicians for his outstanding contributions in the field of mathematics.

| Students Captured the images of Saturn and Jupiter Planets in the night sky | |||

Department of Physics, SKC, GDC, Poonch guided the students in locating the position of Saturn and Jupiter Planet with naked eyes. Large number of students of B.Sc. had participated in this event of seeing the Saturn and Jupiter in the night sky. Students monitored the position Saturn and Jupiter from 21.12.2020 to 30.12.2020 and some of them even captured the images of these planets with their mobile cameras. Students became very enthusiastic after seeing Saturn and Jupiter for the first time in the night Sky. It is to mention here that both Saturn and Jupiter could be seen with naked eyes in the southwest direction of night sky one hour after the Sunset. Both Saturn and Jupiter were very close to each other and they remained in this position till the end December 2020. The event was organized by Department of Physics, SKC, GDC, Poonch under the overall supervision of Principal, SKC, GDC, Poonch. The Department will continue its efforts in guiding the students about curious phenomena of the Universe.
